What's New in 2010 ?

Registration for 2010 has begun. Sheri Belisle, our registrar is sending a letter out to each camp family with log in and password information to streamline the re-enrollment process. Enroll and pay the full tuition by Jan 15, 2010 and save $100 per registration!

We Need More Trees!
Over the past several years, we have lost many large trees in storms. This spring we will be launching a campaign to plant many new trees. Our goal is to raise $10,000 in donations for landscaping, including benches, chairs and many, many shade trees.

No More Flip Flops!

A recent American Camp Association camp health survey found that camps that require closed toed shoes at camp are reporting fewer injuries. Safety is our #1 priority so this summer, leave the flip flops at home. Closed toed shoes are required at camp. We recommend crocs or similar shoes that cover the toes and can be worn when wet. We made this change prior to summer 2009 and saw a significant drop in injuries to campers' feet.

Shore Line Restoration Project
This spring, we will launch a large scale shore line project to control erosion. This project will revamp the shore from cabin 3, all the way around to the nature area.

Medication Policy
As in past years, we will be requiring use of the CampMEDS program for all camper medication in pill form. This year, those who do not submit their medications one month prior to the start of camp will have to do so upon arrival for an additional $25 fee (payable to CampMeds). If you have questions, please contact Laura Hall, 301 934 8799 or csclaurahall@gmail.com. There is more information regarding CampMeds in the "Camp Forms" section of the Camp Families tab of our site.
