The Bridge to Leadership

Camper

Ages 6-13

The traditional CSC overnight camp experience for our Middies, Minors, and Major campers ages 6-13.

Mentor Camper

Ages 14-15

At age 14, former campers can apply to be a Mentor. This can be the first stepping stone to become a CSC staff member.

Junior Counselor

Ages 16-17

At age 16, former Mentors can apply to be a Junior Counselor. This is a paid, full-time seasonal staff position.

The Mentor Experience

Mentors step into a meaningful leadership role at camp, learning from senior staff while supporting younger campers through daily routines, activities, and cabin life. They practice real‑world skills like communication, teamwork, and responsibility as they help lead games, assist with program areas, and contribute to the smooth flow of camp operations.

Along the way, Mentors still enjoy many of their favorite CSC traditions, bond with their cohort, and participate in special leadership sessions designed to build confidence and character. It’s a chance to stay connected to camp, grow as a leader, and make a lasting impact on the CSC community.
